According to a report by KTLA, after police went through surveillance tapes covering that period of time, Caraway was seen on the surveillance footage entering the Walmart store in Sand Springs at around 6 p.m. on Friday.

The footage shows Caraway heading into the bathroom. However, there was no sign of her leaving the bathroom. Later that same evening, a staff member tried to enter the bathroom but found the door to be locked. The worker then placed an out-of-order sign on the bathroom door and left.

Staff member finds the dead woman on Monday afternoon

No one attempted to enter the bathroom until Monday afternoon at around 3:30 p.m. At that time, a worker eventually unlocked the bathroom door, finding Caraway’s body, lying dead on the floor inside the restroom.

According to investigators, it is not yet clear when Caraway actually died or what had caused her death, although it is not believed to have happened under suspicious circumstances.

However, authorities do believe she may have died from some kind of a health-related problem and that her death was from natural causes. It is also unknown why Caraway was in Sand Springs at the time, as she lives in Muskogee.

Walmart ‘saddened’ by Oklahoma woman’s death

Fox 23 News quotes Walmart as saying in a statement that the company was “saddened” by Caraway’s death.

They went on to say in their statement that they don’t have all the facts yet, but are closely cooperating with local law enforcement to provide any information they have that could be useful. Walmart said anyone requiring more information should contact the police.

As reported by Fox News, customers of the Walmart store were shocked at the thought they were shopping in the store, just a few feet away from a dead body that had been inside the bathroom for a couple of days.

One customer, Marle Lawson, told the reporter that it was hard to believe that a body had been inside that restroom for several days without someone noticing her. Lawson went on to add that everyone goes to the bathroom in Walmart, asking how her death could go unnoticed for so long.
