Reports of a Russian intelligence document sent to former FBI Director James Comey last year, is no doubt more chum for the conspiracy sharks that are now part of today's political climate. As Blasting News reported, the document described an email where former DNC chairwoman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz was mentioned describing a conversation between then Attorney General for the Department of Justice (DOJ), Loretta Lynch, and a Clinton campaign aide named Amanda Renteria.

The document claimed that Lynch told Renteria that the DOJ would make sure the FBI's investigation on Hillary Clinton didn't go very far.

Russian intelligence document is 'junk'

The document was sent to the FBI through other channels in the middle of the 2016 presidential primary but by August, the bureau had determined that the document was bogus. The Blasting News article explained how this document forced Fbi Director James Comey to become a political target whether he wanted to or not. But the article also said that the document didn't include any email to show as proof of their "intelligence" which was one of the reasons they determined that it wasn't credible.

Apparently, some intelligence officials "legitimized" the document only to go as far as to the reason for why Comey decided to close their case against Hillary Clinton, however, others have said that the bureau knew it was junk and that they had known this for a long time. But it also points how far Russian intelligence would go to -- at the very least -- try to insert doubt. It's likely that Russian intelligence was counting that the bureau that would slip up and perhaps distribute such details and, therefore, doubt among American voters.

Trump's propaganda enters FBI's circle

Russian state media is notorious for creating propaganda that distributes President Vladimir Putin's agenda in order to control his citizens and continue to seize power.

President Trump is already trying to mimic the Russian president, as he attempts to keep U.S. media in check by creating propaganda, taking to Twitter to spread untruths and as Blasting News also reported, likely testing out vulnerabilities in the media and government law enforcement to see how far his view of the world can be distributed.

James Comey has since been fired by the President for investigating his connections to Russian officials and possible collusion over interference of the 2016 presidential election. Now, since his firing, other investigations have been building up against the Trump administration where a special prosecutor has now been named as former FBI Director Robert Mueller. James Comey is set to testify before the Senate Intelligence Committee in June.
