Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth are now husband and wife. Fans of the couple were surprised to know that they wed months ahead of the publicized Wedding date. Previous reports said that the wedding would take place on Joy-Anna’s 20th birthday in October.
The wedding took place May 26 at a local church where the Duggars regularly go. The bride wore a lace gown with her veil simple and short. The wedding was not as big as her sister's. Jinger Vuolo’s wedding had 1,000 guests. Jill Dillard and Jessa Seewald’s weddings were equally large.
Fans surprised by Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth
Fans were wondering why the wedding was earlier than expected. They were expecting it to happen five months from now as was posted on their wedding registry. The newlyweds were engaged in March of this year. The wedding took place so soon after only three months of engagement.
Although the couple has been friends for more than 15 years, the speeded up wedding was a big question for their avid fans. A week ago, there were speculations that the ceremony would take place before October so fans were surprised that it happened so soon.
An Instagram post written by Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar was addressed to the newlyweds and confirmed the wedding.
In the post, the Duggars wrote that the wedding day will be treasured by the family and that they are grateful for Joy-Anna’s godliness and Austin’s affection for his bride.
TLC also posted a video that further confirmed the wedding. Joy-Anna said that saying her vow for a lifetime relationship with her now husband Austin was incredible.
She also said that she is blessed to have married him. For his statement, Austin said that he is looking forward to sharing his life with his best friend.
Jill and Derick Dillard arrived from their field mission just in time for the wedding. The mother of one is already heavy with child and is expected to deliver her second baby in July.
Jinger Vuolo who got married in November has not confirmed any pregnancy although she has been rumored to be pregnant in April.
Joy-Anna's brother Joseph Duggar is now engaged
Now that Joy-Anna is married, Joseph Duggar and Kendra Caldwell might follow to the altar soon. Their engagement was announced on the family website after her sister Joy-Anna’s wedding. Another Duggar son will soon take his bride. It would not be surprising if Joseph Duggar says “I do!” in two or three months time.
It was announced that the wedding will be featured in the next season of “Counting On.” The reality show will be aired on June 12. This season is going to be a very exciting one with one or possibly two weddings, babies, and possible pregnancies.
