After five months in the White House, Donald Trump is starting to react negatively from the pressure surrounding the growing Russian scandal. The president is reportedly Gaining Weight and checking out mentally as his critics can't help but laugh.

Trump and Russia

Not long after he officially announced his campaign for president, Donald Trump was hit with non-stop allegations about his potential ties to foreign countries, with Russia at the top of the list. Refusing to release his tax returns was one of the first signs that the former host of "The Apprentice" could be hiding something, as his constant praise of Vladimir Putin also added fuel to the fire.

In the two years that have followed, several associates and advisers to Trump have been linked back to the Kremlin in one way or another. The highest-profiled individual who had ties to Russia was retired Gen. Michael Flynn, who was forced to resign as National Security Adviser after being outed for meeting with a Russian official not long after the election concluded. In recent weeks, Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, has come under FBI scrutiny for possibly holding back information about the current investigation into Russia. These issues have not gone over well in the White House, with CNN reporting on May 30 that Trump is not reacting well to the news.

According to a report by CNN's Glorida Borger, and later Raw Story, Donald Trump is having a difficult time responding to the scandal around him, as the president is allegedly gaining weight in the process.

Borger reports that Trump has been in a "pretty glum mood" ever since firing James Comey as director of the FBI, with one close ally to the president labeling the aftermath as "idiocy."

"He now lives within himself, which is a dangerous place for Donald Trump to be," another White House source told CNN, who went on to note that the president is also "emotionally withdrawing." He's (Trump) gained weight," the source added, while explaining that the billionaire real mogul "doesn't have anybody whom he trusts."

Twitter reacts

In response to the news that Donald Trump is having major trust issues and gaining weight due to the Russian Scandal, social media users were quick to pile on.

"I'd be a terrible president, because if there were reports I was gaining weight like Trump is I'd have press releases saying 'FAKE NEWS,'" one tweet read.

"He's into three-scoop territory these days.

That's when you know it's bad. maybe even a scoop right before bedtime," one social media user wrote about the commander in chief, before adding in a follow-up tweet, "Dude's got a four-scoop-a-day habit going." "Somebody should make him workout in public simulating what he did to Alicia Machado," another tweet went on to read.

"I don't feel the least bit sorry for him, he has brought all of this onto himself. I can confidently say, he will be defiant to the end," an additional post on Twitter added. The mockery and trolling of Donald Trump continued, as his critics didn't hold back their thoughts about the president with the controversy only becoming worse by the day.
