When Steve Bannon was brought on board as the CEO of the Donald Trump campaign last August, the move quickly raised red flags due to the former head of Breitbart News' controversial reputation. As Bannon is now reportedly at odds with Trump and others in the White House, he could soon be out the door, and many cable news hosts don't seem too upset about it.
"Morning Joe" on Bannon
In recent years, Steve Bannon has run the far right-wing website Breitbart News, which specializes in news with a hard conservative slant. Breitbart News had become so extreme at times that even mainstream conservatives would shy away from the publication. Despite this, Bannon was seen as a close ally to Donald Trump, who relied on him heavily during the 2016 presidential election. After pulling off the upset win over Hillary Clinton last November, the former host of "The Apprentice" promoted Bannon onto his staff at the White House, giving him the title of chief strategist.
While the two have been close, the latest rumblings behind the scenes have depicted tension, with Bannon often clashing with Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner. As the drama heats up, the host on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" on April 10 decided to give his thoughts.
During the Monday morning "Morning Joe" show, co-host Joe Scarborough ripped into Steve Bannon, and didn't hold back. "Do you think that Donald Trump has to have Steve Bannon around him to tell him how to win Wisconsin?" Scarborough asked the panel. The panel replied and noted that Bannon was often used as someone who can implement the actual policies that the president often talks about. "This guy can’t implement making a ham sandwich!" Scarborough fired back.
Joe Scarborough then pointed out how Steve Bannon was one of the main reasons Donald Trump's "Muslim ban" executive order was such a flop. "This guy botched an ("Muslim ban") that screwed his first two weeks of the White House," Scarborough noted.

As of press time, Steve Bannon still has a job in the White House despite numerous reports claiming that could change in the near future. On Sunday, former senior adviser to George W. Bush, Karl Rove, spoke out on Fox News and described the three rival factions in the administration, which confirmed the issues between Bannon and Jared Kushner, as well as Chief of Staff Reince Priebus. It's unknown whether or not the billionaire real estate mogul will pull the trigger and move on from his long-time adviser, but it appears clear there is dissension in the ranks.
