After Donald Trump launched over 50 tomahawk cruise missiles at a Syrian airbase last week in response to the chemical attack by Bashar al-Assad, the president received heavy backlash, including from many of his own supporters. While Trump has come under fire for his decision, one host on Fox News is continuing to stand by him.

Judge Jeanine on Trump

During his campaign for president, Donald Trump was able to use a populist message to attract support from a wide-range of political affiliations.

One message that resonated with many Americans was Trump's stance on foreign policy where he vowed to build up the United States military, but also promised to keep the United States out of other nation's wars. Fast forward to present day and Trump supporters are not pleased with the former host of "The Apprentice" over the aforementioned Syrian attack. Names like Ann Coulter and Milo Yiannopoulos, who have long championed Trump, ripped the president across social media. Though Trump is catching heat, Judge Jeanine Pirro is sticking by him, as was seen on the April 8 edition of her show on Fox News.

To kick off her opening statement on Saturday night, Jeanine Pirro made it clear that she believes Donald Trump was right to act as he did against Syria. "When President Donald Trump ordered a targeted strike on that military base in Syria, he demonstrated swift, certain, and decisive leadership absent for so long in America," Pirro said. "His clarity, determination, and compassion for the most weak among us, without the accustomed, indifference, whimpering, vacillating, moral equivalency of the 'other guy,' reflects, not only his courage, strength, and honor, but finally the resurgence and reawakening of 'America the great,'" she continued.

At this point, Jeanine Pirro took a shot at congressional Republicans who haven't backed Donald Trump over the last few weeks, calling on them to start doing the job they were elected to do.

"This is what we voted for," Pirro stated of Trump, before adding, "It's time for the Republicans in Congress to learn from our commander in chief." Pirro said Republicans in Congress need to "put on their big boy pants and start learning how to fight like our leader." "You are in Congress to get things done, not fight publicly like health care bills," she continued. Pirro moved forward, eventually concluding with her support of Trump over the issue at hand.

Moving forward

Donald Trump's decision to act against Syria has raised red flags from both the left and the right. While some in conservative circles appear betrayed by the president's actions, many on the left believe it could possibly be a deflection to avert attention away from the growing scandal linking Trump to Russia.
