According to thetandd.com Americans are questioning Ivanka Trump's role in the White House. Initially, the first daughter said she would have no official role in her father's administration. Today, however, it was announced, that Ivanka will be a special adviser to the president. And she will have her own office in the West Wing.
Former First Lady Michelle Obama's mother lived with her for 8 years in the White House. Her role, however, was as a babysitter to her granddaughter's Sasha and Melia. Ivanka Trump taking on an official position in her father's cabinet is quite a different story.
Sean Spicer, of course, was on the job, making excuses and defending the decision to have the president's daughter take up space on Capital Hill.
Ivanka in the hot seat
Ivanka Trump has already been criticized because a photo surfaced of her sitting at her father's desk in the Oval Office. The image was innocent but it raises questions in the minds of those who did not support President Trump. It gives the appearance that the president is not his own man. And that his daughter, and son in law Jared Kushner have a little more influence than many Americans would like.
Mrs. Kushner was not elected to public office, This has some wondering what qualifies her to take such a prominent role. They are offended at her presence in the Whitehouse.
Trump supporters, however, are saying it's sour grapes from those who can't accept that Hillary Clinton did not win the election.
The Trump's are going to do it their way
Donald Trump is no career politician. He sure does act like one. He made campaign promises, that he has gone back on since taking the oath of office. He told the American people that his daughter would have no official role in hi administration.
Now however she does. Even to obtaining her own office in the West Wing of the Whitehouse.
The Trump family are used to scrutiny. Ivanka no doubt like her father, is going to forge ahead ignoring the criticism. If there is one thing we have learned from the Trump family, it's that they are going to do things their own way. And Mrs. Jared Kushner will certainly be front and center, as long as her father is president. And continue to cause a stir in regards to some of the American people.
