trump has been pursuing the narrative that #Michael Flynn's demise highlights the problem with leaks from within the White House.
He took attention away from how campaign's own ties with Russia, and parlayed focus onto the National Security Agency, who he claims gave the major media outlets classified information.
On Tuesday morning Trump ascribed Flynn's resignation to these leaks: "The real story here is why are there so many illegal leaks coming out of Washington? Will these leaks be happening as I deal on N.Korea etc?"
And on Wednesday he went even more freestyle
Wednesday morning the president took to twitter again.
"Information is being illegally given to the failing @nytimes & @washingtonpost by the #Intelligence Community (NSA and FBI?).Just like Russia"
The President then went on in another tweet to explain how the real scandal is that classified information is being handed out illegally by intelligence agencies – like candy.
Which has many commentators online wondering if he cares more about the moral fibre of his own cabinet, or on broad institutional practices.
