The latest WikiLeaks revelation shows another difference between Hillary Clinton’s public views, in this case on energy and the Environment, as opposed to her private views on the issue as expressed to a secret meeting with a trade union group. Publically she is an environmentalist who wants to bring the big oil companies to heel and restrict fracking and pipeline construction.

Privately she favors fracking and pipeline construction. "I want to defend repairing and building the pipelines we need to fuel our economy. I want to defend fracking under the right circumstances.” Clinton also opposes a carbon tax.

According to the Washington Examiner, Clinton had some choice words to say about environmentalists. She was quite disdainful about Bernie Sanders supporters who are obsessed about climate change and oppose the Keystone XL pipeline and fracking. She suggested that they should, “Get a life.”

The question arises, who is the real Hillary Clinton? Is it the Hillary who promises to drive the coal industry out of business and regulate fracking into nonexistence?

Or is it the Hillary who seems all so reasonable where the fossil fuel industry is concerned? Which group will she betray first? The environmentalists who oppose fossil fuels? Or the trade unions who rely on oil, gas, and coal for jobs? One suspects that the answer to those questions hinges on who pays her the most and who can turn out the most voters.

Unfortunately for Clinton, thanks to WikiLeaks, she is exposed as the two faced politician that she is. The Sanders people, who already believe that they and their candidate were sorely mistreated by Team Hillary, are likely incensed. Why should they support a woman who seems to be under the control of Big Oil?

Clinton is riding high in the polls, thanks to Donald Trump’s total meltdown.

But Hillary Clinton is none too popular either thanks to her tendency to take different positions on issues depending on whom she is talking to, her hatred of various groups of Americans and her general unlikability. All of that might translate into a surprise or two this November.
