In February this year rapper Meek Mill was sentenced to three months of house arrest due to violating his parole in 2015. The sentence which started in March was due to end at the beginning of this month (June 1st) however, Meek has got another small set back.

According to TMZ, Meek Mill got hit with an extended house arrest order of 8 more days. The report states that Meek was ordered to do his community service in particular establishments including “homeless, Habitat for Humanity or senior citizens and veterans.” Meek’s camp, however, disputes this requirement, stating that it was never specified.

Meek Mill, whose real name is Robert Williams, performed his community service duties talking to kids in schools, contributing to helping with the Flint's water crisis and giving motivational speeches, along with working in homeless shelters. The report also claims that Williams worked 6 out of 7 days. The probation Meek is currently facing comes from a charge for illegally possessing a firearm. He was severely beaten by the police which caused many lacerations on his face. The rapper commented on this event when discussing police brutality in America.

After Williams completes the extension, the judge will decide whether he/she is satisfied with the rapper’s performance.It is unclear as to whether Williams is still barred from recording new music, which was one of the clauses in his house arrest sentence.

The rapper, who is dating fellow rap star Nicki Minaj, is expected to release the highly anticipated DC4 (Dream Chasers 4) later this year. An official release date is yet to be announced.The rapper was recently featured in a remix of Young Thug’s Digits and released two extended plays 4/4 and 4/4 part 2. Meek has frequently dissed Drake, prolonging their beef that started on social media in 2015.
