Vanderpump Dog Foundation is one of Lisa Vanderpump's passions. Yahoo News reported that Kardashian hairstylist, Jen Atkin's ultra nice hair shampoo for dogs will be donating a percentage to the Dog Foundation. The hair-care brand of Quai for your pooch is selling at $28.00. That sounds like a lot of money to spend on a dog, but it's for a great doggy cause.

Yahoo News did note that 15 percent will be going to the Vanderpump Dog Foundation. According to Yahoo, the furry-friend cleanser, "promises to leave your pet-fluencer’s hair/fur shiny and smooth." They also note that there are other luxury items to help care for dogs, like Aesop, and then there's a bigger range from Les Pooches.

Vanderpump passion for dogs brings a smile on the eve of Independence Day

Lisa Vanderpump brought a lot of smiles through her Vanderpump Dog Foundation Instagram account. On the eve of Independence Day, they posted a picture of a rescued pet, Chacha, and a new best friend, which was just charming. So many people loved the smiling pair and this is the type of image that cements the beauty of what Lisa is doing.

Just look at those smiles and try not to smile yourself! And if you are a Lisa Vanderpump fan, you know that she too has a stunning charisma and a smile that can melt your heart at times. Even those people who don't like her for her straight up approach with people on the 'Vanderpump Rules' reality TV show, can't really argue with the work she does for dogs across the world.

Dog torture and the meat trade are hot Vanderpump topics

Just a couple of days ago, the Vanderpump Dog Foundtion tweeted about the less fortunate dogs than the rescued pooch Chacha. "Thousands of dogs are tortured & eaten in the horrific dog meat trade annually around the world. We vow to do everything we can to stop it." The tweet urged people to get ahold of their Congress members to try and help to stop the horrific practice.

Be considerate to your pets this week with Independence Day celebrations

It's Independence Day and there will be a lot of fireworks going off.

Probably, as some people have taken a few days off work, these fireworks could go off through the weekend. Fox News noted that animals can be very stressed from the loud bangs and pops. Often, they will run away. If you don't want to see your pooch having to be rescued and taken to a dog shelter, there are some things you can do.

Take your dog for a nice long walk before the fireworks go off, so they are bit more relaxed. You can keep them indoors and check on them every now and then. That helps to reassure the animals.

Whether you buy the new Jen Atkin's shampoo for your pet or not, you can help dogs by being kind to them, just as Vanderpump Dog Foundation does.
