British singer and actress Rita Ora has recently finished up her last collection with Adidas and is spreading the news about releasing her own fashion brand next year. She told Women’s Wear Daily that Adidas, a well-known design company that creates sporty sneakers and clothing, has given her the opportunity to observe how branding works while also allowing her to get a head start in the fashion design process.
She has even used mood boards to communicate her vision for the collections. Though the stylish celeb is ending her partnership after releasing 15 collections with the brand, she will most likely include the athleisure label in her new project and has already been thinking up ideas for line.
Color paint pack
The 26-year-old songstress, who drew fans with her 2012 hit single ‘R.I.P’, will also be releasing an album next year, but is currently tackling an acting role in Italy as a witch for the movie ‘Wonderwell’. Her Adidas collection, Color Paint Pack, which was released in August, reflects Rita Ora’s personal style and features the girl version of the classic tracksuit made popular by hip-hop group Run D.M.C., unique floral prints and sneakers with designs that permit its wearer to color the shoes in.
Other celebrities who have teamed with the sportswear company include Kanye West and Selena Gomez.
Host of ANTM
Some may question Rita Ora’s qualifications to host America’s Next Top Model, the modeling competition that has completed 22 cycles with model Tyra Banks, 42, as its host, however Ora has walked the runway modeling Donna Karan's DKNY and is a brand ambassador for Tezenis, an Italian label that produces undergarments for women. The new season of the reality show, which will air December 12 on VH1, was filmed in New York with a fresh group of judges. ANTM fans are to expect a more modern approach when the show makes its reappearance next month. According to E! News, the American version mimics the varied form of the competition in countries like Asia, which brings aboard famous music artists to host the show rather than figures with a past modeling career.
The contestants on the upcoming televised season of ANTM are given challenges related to today's trends in the modeling industry.
The judges for the show are Ashley Graham, a plus-size lingerie model, Drew Elliot, the chief creative officer for Paper Magazine, and fashion stylist Law Roach who is responsible for revamping singer Celine Dion’s new style. Tyra Banks has reduced her involvement to executive producer of the show but still makes surprise pop-ups on the upcoming season.
