"Fortnite Battle Royale" players are once again going to get a lot of new content in the following weeks. Epic Games will keep releasing weekly updates throughout the ninth season of the popular video game, and there are some exciting things to look forward to in the future. Beside new weapons, map changes, and tournaments, the video game developer will keep releasing new features for players to enjoy.
Even though the battle royale mode is the most popular mode of "Fortnite," "Save the World" was the original mode that was released long before. The original mode wasn't about player-versus-player combat, but rather about the fight between players and zombie-like creatures called husks.
Epic Games has experimented with adding zombies to "Fortnite Battle Royale" as well, and even though this addition hasn't been received well by the community, it turns out that the game creator is bringing it back.
Zombies will return to the game
The first time Epic Games decided to bring zombies or husks to "Fortnite Battle Royale" was in October 2018. This was when the Fortnitemares event happened, and the game developer decided to make the event different from the Fortnitemares event in 2017. The development team achieved this by adding Cube monsters to the PvP mode, which was a surprising move. Cube monsters were all over the in-game island and they often interfered with player-versus-player combat.
Despite receiving negative feedback from the community, Epic Games brought zombies back during the Ice Storm event at the end of Season 7. Once again, these creatures were in the game for a limited period of time and players were not fans of them.
It turns out that the "Fortnite Battle Royale" creator will bring zombies to the game for the third time.
The v9.20 patch has added some interesting content to the game, and besides changes that happened on live servers, data miners have found a lot of interesting files in the game data. Some of these files are about the Horde Rush limited-time game mode that will be added to the game very soon.
Regular modes or just LTM?
Data minder FireMonkeyFN discovered the limited-time game mode thanks to the challenges that will come out for it.
There will be 10 challenges for the LTM and most of them will reward players with Season XP. However, completing the first challenge will unlock an exclusive loading screen, while completing any seven challenges will reward players with a unique wrap.
There actually is ANOTHER challenge for the Horde Rush LTM. While not being in the LTM challenges rn, there is another challenge that states

It is hard to tell if zombies will only appear in the LTM or if they will come to regular modes as well. However, there is a chance that Epic Games turns regular modes into the Horde Rush for a limited time.
