With the release of the v9.30 update for "Fortnite Battle Royale," Epic Games has added a lot of new files to the game data. Besides the new item which was added with the patch, the Chug Splash, the video game developer has made numerous other changes to the game. Three weapons have also been removed from the game as Epic Games is trying to reduce the amount of explosive weapons available to players.

The "Fortnite Battle Royale" creator has also added many files that haven't been released to live servers. These files have been recovered by data miners, and now we know some new things that will be added to the game at some point.

These things include two new weapons, the Drum Shotgun and the Revolver. Data miners have successfully found out stats of these weapons, as well as gameplay videos.

Another powerful revolver is coming to the game

Epic Games has made numerous changes to handguns in "Fortnite Battle Royale" since the game came out in September 2017. The original Revolver has been vaulted with the v5.40 patch, but the game developer has released a few new variants of it in the past few seasons.

The Six Shooter was a variant of the Revolver that was released for the Fortnitemares event, but it hasn't been popular among players. Epic Games has also released the Hand Cannon and the Scoped Revolver. While the Hand Cannon was a great weapon, the last variant has been vaulted due to its unpopularity.

Now, it's time for another variant of the Revolver. The new variant of the weapon will come in the most powerful rarities in the game, Epic and Legendary. The weapon will use Medium Ammo and it will deal 63 and 66 damage respectively.

Data miner Lucas7yoshi has revealed detailed stats of the weapon, which can be seen in the tweet above.

Epic variant:

  • Damage: 63
  • Fire Rate: 1.5 bullets per second
  • Magazine Size: 6 bullets
  • Reload Time: 1.9 seconds

Legendary variant:

  • Damage: 66
  • Fire Rate: 1.5 bullets per second
  • Magazine Size: 6 bullets
  • Reload Time. 1.8 seconds

The superior variant of the weapon will deal slightly more damage while its reload time will be shorter by 0.1 seconds.

Both variants will have the same fire rate, magazine size and the same structural damage, which will also be 63/66.

The release date

It is currently unknown when, exactly, Epic Games will release the new Revolver to "Fortnite Battle Royale." Considering that the game files related to the weapon have been added with the latest patch and that Season 9 will most likely be extended by two weeks, we can expect it to be released during the current season.

Besides the Revolver, the game developer will also release the Drum Shotgun and there is a chance that the Heavy Shotgun comes back as well.
