Epic Games has released numerous changes to "Fortnite Battle Royale" within a year and a half. Ever since the video game came out in September 2017, the video game developer has experimented with it, releasing frequent updates which have changed the way the game is played. In early seasons of the game, players used items such as the Launch Pad and the Bounce Pad to move quickly around the map. However, Season 4 has brought a huge change to the game since this is the season when vehicles were added to "Fortnite's" PvP mode.

The community had mixed feedback regarding vehicles.

Some players loved moving quickly around the map while others believed that vehicles should have never made it into the game. At the moment, there are several vehicles "Fortnite Battle Royale" players can use, but the game developer is considering another huge change.

Vehicles to be disabled during a match

Several "Fortnite Battle Royale" developers recently held an AMA (Ask Me Anything) session in the /r/FortniteCompetitive subreddit. Reddit users had a unique opportunity to ask questions about the game and its future, and the developers gave their best to answer these questions and reveal some changes that will be released to the game at some point.

The Baller, which is the most recent vehicle addition in "Fortnite Battle Royale," has been quite controversial lately.

While most players agree that the Baller is fine in casual modes, they believe that the vehicle should be removed from competitive playlists. After all, it allows players to survive for a long time without any materials, to move quickly from one circle to another, and to grapple to gain a ground advantage without much effort.

Joeys_1k is one of those players who believe that something should be done about this vehicle, which is why he asked Epic Games developers if there will be more vehicle changes in the future. Apparently, the game developer is planning to release a huge vehicle change in the future. "We've discussed potentially disabling vehicles after storm phase 5, similar to how Slipstreams are disabled.

Our main concern is making sure it's clear what's going on, so we're still iterating here," is what one of the developers replied to the Reddit user.

Less mobility, more fun

This vehicle change would probably make "Fortnite Battle Royale" much better in the end game. Players would have less mobility, but there would be more combat between players. After all, safe zones are small after the fifth phase, so there would be no need for vehicles. In addition to this, no one would be able to use the Baller for camping or for escaping enemies and avoiding gunfights.
