"Fortnite Battle Royale" players have had the opportunity to witness numerous events in the game so far. These game-changing events have been huge and Epic Games used them to introduce players to major changes that happen in the game. The best thing about them? They were live and everyone was able to witness them by simply logging into the game and joining a lobby at the right time.

It all started with the meteor event that happened at the end of the third season. Meteors were randomly hitting the ground, destroying structures and enemy bases. This has resulted in a huge meteor event that included the destruction of Dusty Depot and a few other places on the map.

After that, players had one major event in every season, and it seems that Season 9 will not be an exception. Surprisingly enough, this season's event will take place at Polar Peak, the area that already had another event. However, it may also bring us the collaboration between "Godzilla" movie and "Fortnite Battle Royale."

The Polar Peak monster

Ever since the ninth season of the popular video game was released, players have noticed that Polar Peak has begun cracking. The v9.10 update has brought even more changes to this area as the iceberg now shakes from time to time, causing loud sounds to come out of it and making players wonder what exactly is happening under the castle.

On May 28, Epic Games has caused this area to change once again as players can now find a giant eye under the iceberg.

The eye is moving but its exact purpose is currently not clear. Considering that we've heard some sounds coming out of Polar Peak, it is easy to conclude that there is a monster trapped in this area.

The upcoming event will most likely have something to do with the monster, but "Fortnite Battle Royale" players might have to wait a few more weeks for the event.

Most of the live events have happened in the last two weeks of every season, and the Season 8 event happened just a few days before Season 9.

The 'Godzilla' collaboration

Epic Games has partnered up with many different companies to bring exclusive content to "Fortnite Battle Royale." Recently, the video game developer has brought a special game mode and exclusive skins for the promotion of "Avengers: Endgame" and the same thing happened with the latest "John Wick" movie.

"Godzilla: King of the Monsters" will be released on May 29, and there is a good chance that the Polar Peak event will be somehow linked to it. After all, some eggs were found in the prison area of Polar Peak and Epic Games has hinted at a monster in the game ever since Season 4 was released. If it turns out that it is actually a collaboration, the event could happen in May.
