Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts have turned "Apex Legends" into a very popular game in a short period. The video game had millions of active players in its first week, and it was the first battle royale game since "Fortnite Battle Royale" which managed to quickly grow a huge playerbase. Unfortunately, after Season 1 of the game was released, many players were unhappy with it and stopped playing it. However, things could change for better with the release of the next season.
"Apex Legends" hasn't received many changes since its release.
The video game came out on February 4, 2019, and it has only received a few gameplay changes since then. Most of these changes were minor and even the first season was disappointing. However, Respawn Entertainment and EA are hoping to make the game more popular with the upcoming limited-time event.
The exclusive event is coming to the game
Many players are craving new "Apex Legend" content since that's the only thing the game needs to become a worldwide sensation like its main rival, "Fortnite Battle Royale." While its competitor receives weekly updates, Respawn Entertainment has struggled to release new content for its popular battle royale game. There have been a few updates so far, but most of them were underwhelming and it is not a secret that players have expected much more.
Fortunately, next week will bring some new content to the game and players will be able to earn exclusive rewards from it. “The Legendary Hunt” event will include several challenges players will have to complete to earn in-game cosmetic rewards. Players will have a chance to earn new Rare, Epic, and Legendary skins from the event, which is amazing!
There will be an Epic Bloodhound skin and the Legendary weapon skin for R-301. Additionally, Wraith will receive a Legendary skin as well.
The event will start on Tuesday, June 4, and EA has promised to reveal more details by then. At the moment, it is unknown what these challenges are going to be, but players will get more information during the EA Play live stream.
More goodies are coming to the game
The EA Play live stream will reveal more information about the new content, including the Season 2 Battle Pass. In addition, there will be a Double XP weekend from Friday, June 7 at 10 a.m. PST through Monday, June 10 at 10 a.m. PST. Players will be able to earn double XP on base progression and Battle Pass progression.
Besides this, finishing in the Top 5 in any match will reward players with an entire Battle Pass level. This can happen only once per day. Considering that the Season 1 Battle Pass leveling is quite slow, these bonuses will be a welcome addition.
