Season 7 of "Fortnite Battle Royale" added a snow biome to the in-game map in the southwestern part of the island. The snow biome included a few new locations, including Polar Peak, which had received a lot of changes throughout the season. However, it appears that Epic Games is not done changing this area as it turns out that it will have another event and even more drastic changes.
This area first became popular because of the Infinity Blade, the Mythic Item which was added to "Fortnite Battle Royale" with one of the early patches of Season 7.
Before the blade was removed, Polar Peak was the most popular landing spot for a few days, but ever since then, it hasn't been among favorite areas. Later in the season, the Ice Storm event took place at this area, and it seems that the next big change will come during the ninth season of the popular game.
Polar Peak will get more changes soon
The Polar Peak iceberg has started breaking and melting recently. While this has already happened during Season 7, it is surprising that it's happening right now, two seasons after. However, it is not a secret that a lot of "Fortnite Battle Royale" players dislike the snow biome, so the game developer may remove it soon.
With the release of the v9.10 patch, many "Fortnite" players have noticed a crack that has appeared near the bottom of the iceberg.
When players approach the crack, they can hear something that sounds like the wind coming out of it. In addition, some players have noticed shaking and breaking sounds coming out of this area. At the end of Season 7, the Prisoner has escaped the prison under the Polar Peak castle, so maybe something or something else is trying to break out once again?

Players still believe that dragons will appear in this area. When the iceberg was melting in Season 7, it revealed a big underground area that had dragon eggs inside, which is when all the dragon theories have begun.
The eggs are still there so there is a change that we will finally get dragons in "Fortnite Battle Royale," although it is very unlikely.
The Greasy Grove return
Greasy Grove, the area that was in the game for six seasons, was removed at the start of Season 7. The Polar Peak iceberg has appeared above this area, making Greasy Grove disappear under ice. There are still buildings in the area, but they don't contain as much loot as they did before, and this spot is not a popular landing zone.
By making the iceberg melt and crack, Epic Games could bring Greasy Grove back to "Fortnite Battle Royale." After all, most of the area is still there, it will just have to be moved a little bit. Removing Polar Peak would potentially bring back one of the more popular zones, so hopefully, it happens soon.
