"Fortnite Battle Royale" has not just become the most popular video game around, but it has also become a worldwide phenomenon. The video game has achieved incredible success in every part of the world, and it is now a big part of pop culture. Epic Games has used a lot of different marketing strategies to achieve this success, including the collaboration with Samsung.
The first collaboration between these two companies occurred just before the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 was released. Epic Games teamed up with Samsung to give "Fortnite Battle Royale" players a unique set of cosmetic items with the purchase of the mobile device, which has boosted both the popularity of the game and sales of Samsung's phone.
The tech company has recently released its newest models of Galaxy phones, and "Fortnite" players can once again get exclusive cosmetic items by buying these devices. In addition, there is a new game mode that was revealed at the latest Samsung event.
New mode revealed at the event
The Samsung event included a "Fortnite Battle Royale" tournament as well as Tyler "Ninja" Blevins and the Korean Pop Band "iKON." All participants played on Samsung Galaxy S10+ and the winner received the device and the headphones that come with it. In addition, each participant was given the code for the exclusive iKONIK skin and the emote.
The Korean band revealed the upcoming "Fortnite Battle Royale" mode which will soon be released to the game.
This is a unique mode and it will be played on a different map, unlike other limited-time game modes. It is similar to the Search & Destroy mode from the "Call of Duty" franchise, and will feature two teams, one on attack and one on defense.
As you can see in the video above, the mode is called “Detonation: Attack vs Defend.” The attacking team will have to destroy two devices in order to win the game.
On the other side, defenders will have to protect these devices for 10 minutes to end up victorious.
New LTM map
The upcoming limited-time game mode will be played on the special Creative map that was made by Epic Games for the event. This will be the first official game mode created in this mode and on a new map, so we can expect the game developer to release more similar modes in the future.
The Creative mode allows players to make their own custom maps and game modes, and the "Fortnite" creator has announced that this part of the game will be constantly getting new additions.
