"Apex Legends" made its debut in the Battle Royale genre almost a month ago and it swiftly toppled some of the popular titles in the same genre. The game developed by Respawn Entertainment, the creators of the popular multiplayer first-person shooter game "Titanfall," was released without any prior announcement of the game. Still, "Apex Legends" was played by almost 25 million players in the first week of its release and proved to be tough competition to "Fortnite: Battle Royale" which has been reigning over the Battle Royale genre since its release.
Though "Apex Legends" got a head start due to all the hype created by the fans of Battle Royale and first-person shooter games, it is inevitable that it will lose more than half of its players if Respawn Entertainment is not able to keep the game fresh from time to time with content updates. Currently, the game only features a 60-player squad mode battle royale and there is only a single map called "Kings Canyon." However, it is rumored that the developers are planning on releasing the first season of the game soon.
When to expect the first season of 'Apex Legends?'
Respawn Entertainment's CEO, Vince Zampella, recently teased that the battle pass for the game will be available soon. While replying to fan querying about the battle pass on Twitter, Zampella replied by saying that "It hasn’t even been 4 weeks since we launched!
The team is working hard, I promise."
Fans were expecting for the battle pass to drop on March 1 because it is already confirmed by the roadmap for "Apex Legends" that was revealed in February, that the game will be getting its first season in March. Here's the roadmap for the game:

According to Dexerto, popular Twitch streamer Shroud (Michael Grzesiek), during one of his streams, told his viewers that he has content in "Apex Legends" that hasn't been released in the game yet.
Shroud had helped the game developers when "Apex Legends" was in development and he told the fans to be patient for the content release.
The battle pass/season format is expected to be similar to that of "Fortnite," meaning that it will be two to three months long and each season will release new Legends, weapons, and items.
A recent leak has revealed that 11 new characters will be coming to the game soon. The leaked legends are mentioned below:
- Nomad
- Octane
- Blackout
- Crypto
- Rosie
- Skunner
- Wattson
- Prophet
- Husaria
- Jericho
- Rampart
Both the battle pass and season one are expected to be released simultaneously this month, but the official release date for them has not been revealed yet.
