Epic Games had released the Infinity Blade to "Fortnite Battle Royale" with the v7.01 patch. This was a Mythic item and it was something unique as players had the opportunity to use a melee weapon for the first time in the popular game. However, the blade was considered overpowered, and it had been removed from the game shortly after its release. While this weapon was fun, it wasn't balanced and it gave a huge advantage to whoever picked it up.
Now, it appears that the video game developer is going to release another sword to "Fortnite Battle Royale." While we currently do not know what this sword is going to be like, in the popular video game, we are hoping that Epic Games has learned a lesson from the Infinity Blade.
The developer has recently released some medieval weapons to the PvE mode of "Fortnite," and now it's time for the battle royale mode to get such weapon as well.

At the moment, no one but Epic Games knows how the new sword would work in "Fortnite Battle Royale." The Infinity Blade gave players two incredibly strong attacks and increased mobility. In addition, the sword granted its wielder increased pools for health, shield, and constant health regeneration. Because of all these perks, the video game developer had decided to vault the blade.
Data miners have found some interesting files in the v7.20 patch. It turns out that Epic Games plans to bring another sword to the popular video game.
It is important to note that this is not going to be the Infinity Blade. The sword model has already been leaked, and it looks much different.
One thing is certain, Epic Games has learned from the Infinity Blade mistake and won't release another overpowered weapon. The game developer is trying to release a balanced melee weapon as it would completely change the way the game is played.
However, there is no doubt that ranged weapons will always have a big advantage, so it is hard to find the right balance.
Upcoming Fortnite Battle Royale patch
The "Fortnite Battle Royale" creator is going to release another patch on Tuesday, January 22. Right now, it is unclear whether this is going to be the first v7.20 content update or simply the v7.30 patch.
However, the game developer has revealed that a Sneaky Snowman item is going to be released with this update. This is going to be another stealthy item, and it may replace the Bush until the snow disappears from the island.
