Epic Games has turned "Fortnite" into a worldwide sensation. While its PvP mode, "Fortnite Battle Royale," has broken numerous records in the gaming universe, the PvE mode also has a lot of players and fans. "Fortnite: Save the World" was originally supposed to become free-to-play for everyone in 2018. However, the game developer had to postpone its free release for 2019, making players wait a few more months for it.

The video game creator is going to give Xbox One players free access to the less popular mode of "Fortnite," however. Epic Games had released the Eon Bundle a few months ago, and everyone who purchases the bundle will get "Fortnite: Save the World," the video game company announced.

At the moment, it is unknown when all the bundle owners are going to receive the PvE mode, but we can expect it to be done in the next few weeks.

Free access to the PvE mode

The reason why Epic Games decided to give Eon Bundle owners free access to the PvE mode is false advertising. While the bundle only comes with the free download of "Fortnite Battle Royale," its packaging says that buyers will get "full game + game add ons." Many players believed that the full game refers to both PvE and PvP modes, but that was not the case.

The bundle simply includes the PvP mode, which is something players can download from the Xbox store for free. It also includes the exclusive Xbox One skin, its glider, and a pickaxe.

Many players were disappointed because they haven't received "Save the World" mode, and that is why Epic Games made a decision to make this mode available to everyone who purchased the bundle.

"We agree that the messaging on the Xbox One S Fortnite Bundle was unclear and so will be granting free access to Save the World for those who purchased the bundle," is what one of the team members posted on /r/FortNiteBR subreddit.

Additionally, players who already have the PvE mode and the bundle will receive 2,000 V-Bucks from the game developer. "Fortnite: Save the World" will also be granted to anyone who purchases the Eon bundle in the future.

'Fortnite: Save the World' is going to be free for everyone

Epic Games is going to make "Fortnite: Save the World" free for everyone in 2019.

While the original free-to-play release year was 2018, the video game developer had to postpone it due to some issues. The exact release date is currently unknown, so there is a good chance that it will happen late next year.
