"Fortnite Battle Royale" players are soon going to get a huge patch that will drastically change the gameplay. Epic Games has revealed some details about the upcoming update, and we believe that shotguns are, once again, going to be incredibly powerful. After the submachine gun meta, it is time for shotguns to rise again and become the most powerful close-range weapon in the popular video game.

Players are also going to enter the final week of season 6 this Thursday. This means that the "Fortnite Battle Royale" developer will release even more big changes in less than ten days.

Season 7 is going to be very exciting, even though we don't know what its theme is going to be. The game creators haven't revealed much about it, but there is no doubt that shotguns are going to be incredibly efficient in the upcoming season.

Epic and legendary shotgun coming to Fortnite

Epic Games has released the in-game update which states that an improved Pump Shotgun will be added to the game very soon. While the game developer hasn't revealed the exact time and date of the next patch, we believe that it will be released on Tuesday, November 27, at 4:00 AM Eastern Time. Additionally, considering that this is going to be a huge update, we can expect servers to shut down for at least 30 minutes.

At the moment, no one knows the exact stats of this shotgun. However, it won't be surprising if the legendary version is so powerful that it deals over 200 headshot damage. At the moment, the maximum damage for a rare Pump Shotgun is 170 as its headshot multiplier is 2. The epic version of it could deal up to 180 or 185 damage, while the most powerful variant might be able to one-shot players.

It is important to note that all shotguns are going to get a huge buff in the upcoming update as well. Eric Williamson, the lead developer, has announced that a Pump Shotgun is going to get a buff in close-range damage, but its range will be slightly reduced. Furthermore, all shotguns will have a minimum damage of three pellets, even if players only hit their target with one or two pellets.

This means that players will no longer be getting 7 damage when hitting the target, and the minimum damage will most likely be 21 or more.

Heavy Shotgun to be vaulted

With the release of the new legendary shotgun, we can expect the game developer to vault a Heavy Shotgun. This weapon is very similar to a Tactical Shotgun, and it also has an epic and a legendary variant, just like the upcoming weapon.
