The latest updates and spoilers for the PS4 exclusive "Spider-Man" video game reveal new details for its future sequel. The post-credits scenes of the game feature Miles Morales having superpowers and Harry Osborn becoming symbiote villain, Venom.

Insomniac Games also announced that they working on a New Game Plus mode. The new "Spider-Man" game will focus on Peter Parker's struggles of balancing a normal life and being a superhero in a massive open-world New York City. Peter will encounter a new enemy named Martin Li (Mister Negative) and his gang The Demons.

He will also have to deal with the Sinister Six and the city's new mayor, Norman Osborn.

Post-credits scenes explained

According to Newsweek, Two post-credits scenes are featured in "Spider-Man" and they speculated that it might set-up a potential sequel for the PS4 exclusive video game. The first scene featured Miles Morales helping Peter move his stuff for the new apartment, and begins to ask for a favor. Miles tells Peter that he is experiencing some weird changes to his body and he cannot tell it to his mother.

Peter mistakes it for puberty and begins to awkwardly explain it to him, but Miles cuts him off as he jumps and sticks to the ceiling. Peter does the same thing and Miles realizes that he is Spider-Man.

The second credits scenes see Norman Osborn looking at a portrait of him and his son, Harry. It turns out that it is an entrance to a secret room where Harry is confined to a pod surrounded by black web-like goo. Norman tries to talk to Harry about how close he was to finding a cure for him as the black goo reacts to him.

Miles in the game is a huge fan of Spidey and he inspires him to help other people in need whether saving someone from muggers or helping other homeless people at the F.E.A.S.T.

Center. He was bitten by one of Osborn's genetically altered spiders that gave him his powers.

As for Harry, the players discovered that he is sick and his trip to Europe was a cover up for him to find a cure, but ultimately failed. Norman tries to find a way to save his son by using the Devil's Breath that gave Martin Li his powers.

Harry is stuck inside a pod and the black goo is speculated to be the Venom symbiote. Game director Bryan Intihar stated before that Venom will not be part of the game, but the post-credits scene may lead to his actual appearance in a sequel.

New Game Plus Mode confirmed

According to Comic Book.com, Insomniac Games confirmed on Twitter that they are working on adding New Game Plus mode for "Spider-Man" after username Tony Parker asked them about it.

While details about its release date have not been revealed, video game fans who have played New Game Plus modes on different titles would know that it is essentially a new game session with more difficult enemies. The game is currently available in store for the PlayStation 4.
