The latest updates for "Tekken 7" reveal the next DLC fighters joining the game's growing roster. Bandai Namco Entertainment streamed a new trailer at the EVO 2018 event and it featured the return of "Tekken" veterans Anna Williams and Lei Wulong to the sequel. Joining them is a new guest character from the AMC's "The Walking Dead" TV series, Negan.

The game is currently available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC platforms. Its plot revolves around the final confrontation of Kazuya and Heihachi Mishima for the full control of the Mishima Zaibatsu and the whole world.

The sequel also explores the hidden mystery behind the Devil Gene.

Anna and Lei returns to 'Tekken 7'

According to Polygon, game producer Katsuhiro Harada, and lead designer, Michael Murray, revealed at EVO 2018 that there will be six new playable characters in "Tekken 7's" second season DLC and the first three fighters are Lei, Anna, and Negan.

In "Tekken" mythos, Anna is the eternal rival and younger sister of Nina. Like her older sister, Anna works as an assassin and her encounters with Nina often result in huge collateral damage. Anna is now working in G-Corporation as Kazuya's personal bodyguard and is second-in-command of his army to fight the Mishima Zaibatsu under Jin Kazama's regime. The only reason she joins Kazuya is that Nina joined the opposing team and looks to settle the score with her once and for all.

As for Lei, he is seasoned Hong Kong police detective and master martial artist. His fighting style involves five animal forms and the drunken boxing stance. Players can learn different kinds of attacks and combos from the animal forms, while drunken boxing can evade and counter incoming attacks from the opponent.

Negan enters the King of Iron Fist Tournament

Perhaps the biggest surprise in the "Tekken 7" DLC roster is the inclusion of "The Walking Dead" fan-favorite, Negan, as the trailer teased the silhouette of the character holding his signature baseball bat, Lucille.

GameSpot reported that Harada replied to a tweet from username miranbikhan, who wanted Negan in the roster and humorously stated that he will be "too weak" to be included in the roster even if he had Lucille with him.

In "The Walking Dead" mythos, Negan is the leader of the Saviors, a faction of survivors that enslaves other survivor communities and forces them to pay tribute to him. He killed two of Rick Grimes' friends during their first encounter and two waged war on one another ever since.

Negan is also the fourth guest character in the sequel, joining "Street Fighter's" Akuma, Geese Howard from "King of Fighters," and Noctis from "Final Fantasy XV."
