Patch notes for “Fortnite’s” update V5.2 has just been released confirming the Double Barrel Shotgun in the game’s Battle Royale mode alongside a new Limited Time Mode dubbed as Steady Storm. As soon as the notes went live, data miners mad dashed their way into the game files to see what new contents the new game tweak has to offer. True enough, a heap of upcoming cosmetics has been dug up as it is expected to be introduced any day from now.

Several leakers have already gone posting to their respective Twitter accounts the Outfits, Back Blings, Gliders, and Emotes that were included in the V5.2 patch.

Some of them even managed to get the names of some of the cosmetics:

Outfits and Back Blings

  • Aerobic Assassin (Back Plate Back Bling)
  • Mullet Marauder (Boombox)
  • Overtaker (Male/Lane Splitter)
  • Whiteout (Female/Ignition)
  • P.A.N.D.A. Team Leader (Bamboo)
  • Beef Boss (Deep Fried)
  • Sushi Master (Chef’s Choice)
  • Galaxy

The skins look pretty familiar

Player’s speculate that the Sushi Master skin might be rolled out as a PlayStation 4 exclusive due to its color schemes, though some of them claim that this will also be sold in the shop just like the Archetype.

The Galaxy, on the other hand, is believed to be not obtainable in the Item Shop. In line with this, both the Overtaker and Whiteout skins are an interesting duo as it looks like they’re both inspired by Top Gear’s badass driver who goes by the name of The Stig.

Harvesting Tools (Pickaxes)

  • Jingu Bang
  • Axercise
  • Patty Whacker
  • Filet Axe

Emotes

  • Work It Out
  • Go! Go! Go!
  • Llama bell
  • Hot Stuff
  • Pumpernickel

Gliders were also found within the V5.2 patch though their names have yet to be determined.

Loading screens for weeks 5 and 6 were also data mined.

What’s a Punch Pack?

A leaker also came across with an interesting subfolder within the “Fortnite” game files hinting at what could be a new item dubbed as “Punch Pack.”

This asset is under the “Back Packs” folder as it contains another subfolder simply named “FX.” No additional information was disclosed about this but it’s likely to be revealed in future updates.

Meanwhile, the new weapon in “Fortnite” BR - the Double Barrel Shotgun has the ability to deal massive damage to enemies at close range. The weapon will be available in Epic and Legendary variants and can be obtained via chests, Supply Drops, floor loot, and Vending Machines.

The Epic render of the weapon can deal up to 143 base damage provided that the opponent is at an extremely close range while the Legendary version can deal up to 150 base damage.
