Epic Games is slowly preparing "Fortnite Battle Royale" players for the sixth season of the popular video game. Season 5, which started on July 12, entered its seventh week on Friday, and the game developer has released a few big events since then. It seems that players will get many more changes to the map, and a Reddit user recently discovered some interesting additions which could be released in the following weeks.
"Fortnite Battle Royale" developer released some huge changes for season 5 and, naturally, this is what players expect for the next season as well.
On Thursday, August 23, Epic Games released patch 5.30, adding a big map change with it. Tomato Town was replaced by Tomato Temple, and this was just the beginning as the video game developer is going to release more changes to the in-game island before season 6.
Upcoming map changes
Epic Games recently released the Capoeira emote to the in-game store, making it available for purchase. The developer also released a video, of this emote, to their social media profiles, allowing players to see what it looks like. However, one player noticed a few unusual changes to the map in this video, and this could be Epic Games' way of teasing players with the upcoming map changes.

As you can see in the video above, the character who is performing the emote is located on a hill close to Snobby Shores.
The Viking village and the hill with the secret base are supposed to be seen from this angle, but they are not there. Reddit user lepracs noticed these changes, pointing out that these changes could soon come to live servers.
The waterfall on the hill with the Viking village is still there, but everything else is gone. Also, it seems that Epic Games have finally decided to remove the secret base above Snobby Shores.
Additionally, a castle appeared by Pleasant Park, replacing the house in the woods. All these places are out of focus, and it is hard to say anything else about them. However, it won't be surprising if the game developer decides to release these map changes in next week's patch.
In-game events
"Fortnite Battle Royale" players had a unique opportunity to witness some in-game events that recently occurred.
First, there was a lightning strike, followed by the disappearance of the rift. After that, another lightning strike has brought a big purple cube in the desert area of the map. Considering that season 4 was introduced by meteors, we can expect Epic Games to do a similar thing with lightning strikes for season 6.
