A new “Fortnite” patch just went live where it brought in several tweaks and bug fixes. Game files were also updated, as upcoming cosmetics have been recently leaked. That said, data miners have uncovered more stuff that is likely to arrive in the battle royale version of the game, which includes a few new LTMs and a new gun.
The data miner @Fortnitee_Leaks recently took to Twitter to show what he just dug up within the “Fortnite” game file about the Explosive Crossbow and Guided Missiles. If the leaker’s snapshots are anything to go by, Epic could be developing two new Limited Time Modes.
It’s not yet certain if these are their actual names since they’re initially dubbed as “Comp” and “Fortnite.”
Competitive play?
Another leaker – Storm (@fortnite_leaks) believes that the latter might be called “Final Five.” The one called “Comp,” on the other hand might be for pro and competitive players, as the description reads, “be the last one standing in this opt in proving ground for high skill players.”

“Fortnite” players are aware that a new weapon could be introduced in the game’s battle royale mode in the coming weeks.
The Heavy Sniper Rifle has been discovered within the Athena files of the third-person shooter, not to mention that this will have a legendary rarity. Per @FNBRLeaks, the description of the weapon states that it’s a powerful and accurate rifle with bolt-action mechanism with an extremely slow reload. It was also mentioned that its shots can pierce through the first wall it hits.
Storm tweeted out the upcoming information about the Heavy Shotgun, claiming that it will have the rates below.
- Damage: 157
- Fire rate: 0.33
- Magazine size: 1
- Reload time 4.05
Screenshots of the rifle were also posted over on Twitter, and Save the World players knew the weapon as the Obliterator.
