Epic Games has done a great job updating "Fortnite Battle Royale" since its release in September last year. Now, it seems that players will get another new weapon, and it will be an improved variant of a burst assault rifle.
FortniteTracker has recently released some interesting information about the new weapon, which makes players believe they will get it soon.
Additionally, Epic Games is releasing patch 4.2 for "Fortnite Battle Royale" on May 15, so this could be the release date of the new weapon. According to the tracker website, the new burst rifle will come in two variants: epic and legendary.
Improved burst rifle coming to 'Fortnite Battle Royale'
It appears that the new burst rifle will be a video game counterpart of G36 gun. Considering there are already three different variants of a burst rifle in "Fortnite Battle Royale," the new weapon will bring some improvements, but it will also be quite rare. - Head shot: 64 damage
- Reload time: 2.5 seconds
Legendary burst rifle
- Body shot: 33 damage
- Head shot: 66 damage
- Reload time: 2.3 seconds
Now, let's compare the leaked burst rifle to the three variants of this rifle that are already in the popular video game.
Common burst rifle
- Body shot: 27 damage
- Head shot: 54 damage
- Reload time: 2.9 seconds
Uncommon burst rifle
- Body shot: 29 damage
- Head shot: 58 damage
- Reload time: 2.7 seconds
Rare burst rifle
- Body shot: 30 damage
- Head shot: 60 damage
- Reload time: 2.6 seconds
Burst assault rifles have been nerfed since the first-shot accuracy mechanic was introduced to the game.
Before that, these rifles had a 2.5 head shot multiplier, but now it's 2.0, just like for fully-automatic assault rifles. Adding these two improved variants of the rifle should make the game more balanced and give players more options for the end game.
Legendary burst rifle in 'Fortnite'
"Fortnite's" PvE mode already has this rifle.
The epic variant of the rifle is called Razorwire while the legendary burst rifle is called Razorblade. Many "Fortnite Save the World" players like this gun and find it useful, so we will see if that will be the case in the PvP mode. It is important to note that this may not be the exact model the game developers put in "Fortnite Battle Royale." There is a chance that the new burst rifle will be FAMAS, not G36.
