The latest updates for the new "Spider-Man" video game reveal its official Release Date and bonus contents. Sony and Insomniac Games announced that the game will be available in September for the PlayStation 4, and they began streaming a new trailer featuring its pre-order content and collector's edition.

Game Informer also featured a new gameplay that highlights Spider-Man's incredible moves in a free roam map and how video game and Marvel fans will be hyped once they experience being in Spidey's shoes. The story will have Peter Parker struggling to have a normal life and committing to saving New York from crime.

Spidey swings on Septemeber

According to Insomniac Games, "Spider-Man" will launch on September 7 for the PS4 console. The news also came out in the latest issue of Game Informer as the game studio revealed that players will experience more fluid combat, open-world explorations, crafting, main missions, and side missions.

The side quest will have Peter Parker deliver pizza or take photographs for the Daily Bugle similar to the "Spider-Man 2" video game. The story will feature the memorable assemble of supporting characters such as Mary Jane Watson, Aunt May, Miles Morales, Wilson Fisk, Mister Negative, Shocker, and more.

In fact, players will have a chance to play Mary Jane during information gathering and stealth missions.

It is also rumored that Miles Morales could be a playable character as well, although the studio only teased that the latter will be an important piece of the main plot.

Pre-order DLC costumes, story, and collector's edition

Insomniac Studios announced on the PlayStation Blog that "Spider-Man" will have pre-order costumes, DLC story, and a collector's edition.

The game will have three pre-order costumes for the web-slinger and the first outfit is from Spider-Punk, a version of Hobbie Brown from another dimension. The character made his debut in the "Spider-Verse" crossover storyline.

The two remaining costumes are everyone's guest as Spidey has many memorable costumes ranging from the Black symbiote suit, Iron Spider, and Future Foundation to 2099, Noir, Scarlet Spider, and more.

The bonus DLC story is called "The City Never Sleeps" and it will a three-chapter storyline featuring new missions, villains, and costumes. The collector's edition will include the game itself, the DLC bonuses, Steelbook casing, a mini artbook from Titans Book, and a statue figurine from Gentle Giant.
