Epic Games has been rolling out new content in "Fortnite" and this has been one of the reasons why it is so popular. With the advent of mobile battle royale shooters, the devs have delivered once again as it was revealed that the game is heading to mobile.

'Fortnite' on-the-go? Say no more

In a recent announcement, Epic stated the "Fortnite" will be coming to Mobile Devices. The game maker added that what PC and console players are getting right now (map, content, weekly updates) mobile players will also receive.

Starting Monday, March 12, "Fortnite" faithful with iOS devices may begin signing up for an Invite Event.

Android fans, on the other hand, need not fret as Epic assured them that support for such devices will arrive in the coming months.

Cross play and Cross progression support

The developer also stated that they've partnered with Sony to support both cross play and cross progression between PC, PlayStation 4, Mac, iOS, and eventually Android. This will be a pretty big deal as players from the aforementioned platforms can finally play together.

Players who'll be signing up for the iOS Invite Event will be getting an email with a link confirming that they can now download the game in the App Store. These players will also be getting a so-called friend invite codes to share with other players provided they too have an iOS device.

Before signing up, check the system requirements

Per the device's system requirements, one should have iOS 11 on an iPad Mini 4, iPad Air 2, iPad Pro, iPad 2017, or iPhone 6S/SE, not to mention an internet connection. Meanwhile, players who won't be getting an invite despite being signed up need not worry as Epic stated that they'll be adding more players as the months pass.

Still no invite? No worries

Now that this has been revealed to the community, one may worry about the game quality by the time it is already playable on mobile. The developer assured players that both the graphics and gameplay experienced by PC and console players will be the same on mobile devices. They even went on, stating that "Fortnite" fans can now play the game whenever and wherever they want, as this is the future of games.

Players are advised to stay tuned on Monday and visit the official website for further details about this awesome development.
