'Fortnite' Battle Royale at DreamHack Winter
DreamHack is the world's largest digital festival, and this year, "Fortnite" will make an appearance in it with its Battle Royale mode. The festival will start on December 1 and it will be held in Jönköping, Sweden.
According to Epic Games, everyone with a BYOC seat will be allowed to join the "Fortnite" Battle Royale tournament. The tournament will be split into two different categories as players will compete in solo and duo game modes. It is important to note that the tournament will be played on PC only, but players will be allowed to connect a controller and use it instead of a keyboard and a mouse.
Tournament dates and times:
- Friday, Dec 1: Top 50 qualifier from 5 pm - 12 am (Solo and Duos)
- Saturday, Dec 2: Top 50 qualifier from 3 pm -10 pm (Solo and Duos)
- Sunday, Dec 3: Finals from 1 pm - 5 pm (Solo), 5 pm - 8 pm (Duos)
On Friday and Saturday, DreamHack admins will host numerous games and players will be able to qualify for the finals in them.
Sunday will be a final day of the tournament and qualified players will compete in a 5-game series to determine the final winners of both solo and duo game modes.
Top players will be rewarded with cash prizes every day, but the final day of the tournament will yield the most valuable rewards. Tournament prize pool will total up to 12,000 euros ($14,150).
How to join 'Fortnite' Battle Royale tournament?
In order to join the tournament, players won't have to sign up for DreamHack. All they have to do is to join the DreamHack official Discord server, select the video game channel, and receive further instructions there.
