Ever since its release in late September, "Fortnite" Battle Royale has been gaining thousands of players on a daily basis. Right now, there are over 20 million players, and it doesn't seem that the game will lose its popularity anytime soon. With constant updates and interesting additions to the game, Epic Games makes sure that "Fortnite" players are entertained.
Speaking of the video game updates, there is one huge change the game developer recently made. This change may not be well received by the community as it will force many "Fortnite" Battle Royale players to move faster and be more aware of their surroundings and the storm.
The latest change will make players come up with different strategies as those who get caught in the storm will be put at a big disadvantage.
The storm is unforgiving
If you play "Fortnite" Battle Royale, then you know you have to constantly be on the move and avoid the storm. Shortly after a match starts, a circle will appear at a random location and players will have a few minutes to move inside of it in order to avoid the storm. Players who get caught in the storm will lose their health over time, but the storm damage is rather insignificant in the first few minutes of a match.
Most players don't mind getting damaged by the storm in the early stages of a match. However, that will have to change as the storm will now show the location of players caught in it.
Basically, players who get caught in the storm will be hit by lightning. The lightning will be seen by everyone, revealing the location of the players who are caught in the storm. Even though the storm doesn't deal much damage early in the game, having your location revealing could get you killed very quickly.
In the later stages of the game, players will have to avoid getting caught in the storm at all costs.
While health lost in the storm can be easily recovered with bandages, there is nothing you can do if your enemies find out your location. This change will force "Fortnite" Battle Royale players to be much more careful and move quickly inside the circle.
New weapon is coming to 'Fortnite' Battle Royale!
"Fortnite" developer has been very busy adding new things to the game, and fortunately for the players, they will get a new weapon in Battle Royale mode next week.
The weapon will be a silenced machine gun, which will be a perfect gun for everyone who loves stealth. There aren't many details about the new weapon, but Epic Games will soon give us some more information.
Epic Games Update:
It turns out the the storm is not supposed to reveal the location of players, which was confirmed by Epic Games. This is a bug that is being fixed and "Fortnite" players will get an update soon.
