PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds” is the most popular battle royale in the gaming community right now. Six months after its official launch, the game has sold more than 13 million copies. It is now available as an Early Access on Steam. BlueHole's successful title has recently reached the 1.9 million mark of concurrent users on Steam. These achievements are all based on its Early Access performance. The game is expected to reach greater heights once it is released on the Microsoft console, the Xbox One.

Extended exclusivity period

Game developer BlueHole has previously confirmed that “PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds” will be released on Xbox One later this year.

Microsoft and BlueHole have entered into an agreement that Xbox One will be the first console to launch the battle royale title. Interestingly, Bloomberg recently reported that the both companies are now talking about extending their agreement to publish the title exclusively on Xbox One exclusively.

Apparently, the developer is considering having the game exclusive to the Microsoft’s console for a more extended period than initially planned. So far there are no details on how long the exclusivity period could last.

PlayStation 4 launch

Aside from Xbox One, BlueHole recently revealed that it is in talks with all the major console companies. The game developer aims to possibly make the hit battle royale title available to more users using different types of gaming consoles.

Bluehole founder Chang Byung-gyu confirmed the information; he also said that the studio is currently talking with Sony to bring the game to PlayStation 4 after its exclusivity with Xbox One ends.

Server issues

Meanwhile, the game developer has released a new statement about the current complaints from its massive player base.

Players are complaining that they have encountered many problems in logging in to the game. Some claims that even if they can log in, there are many instances when an error notification appears in the middle of the game and disconnect them.

BlueHole has acknowledged the issue and revealed that it is currently designing a new architecture that would accommodate the massive player base.

The studio explained that it had designed its servers for 1 million concurrent players. However, in June, there is a substantial increase in the number of concurrent players. It turns out the increase rate of the players is faster compared to the speed of development.

A few days ago, “PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds” has recorded 1.9 million concurrent players. Fans are hoping that the game developer could come up with the solution because getting interrupted in the middle of the game, or not being able to log in is not a pleasant experience.
