Niantic launches “Pokémon GO” second annual Halloween Event on October 20 until November 2. The event marks the kick off of Gen 3 creatures’ progressive rollout. The video game company announced the development of the location-based augmented reality game in a blog post.
The second annual Halloween event of “Pokemon GO” will revolve around enthusiasts’ favorite ghost-type creatures, such as Ghastly, Gengar, Cubone, Houndour, Dusclops, Sableye, Shuppet, and Misdreavus. Sableye and Banette are also expected to show up. Not all Gen 3 creatures will be up for grabs straightaway.
Instead, a number of Gen 3 Pokemon will gradually arrive in the “Pokemon GO” video game through December.
The “Pokémon GO” 2017 Halloween Event will feature Witch Hat Pikachu, which will be added to the increasing collection of a gamer’s holiday-themed rodents. The event is expected to launch the Avatar customization, along with the Disguise Hat clothing option of the ghost/fairy-type creature, Mimikyu. As if searching for Ghost-type Pokemon in the woods was not scary enough, now “Pokémon GO” trainers will come face to face with a number of unexpected encounters while on the move.
Doubled Candy yield
In the tradition of seasonal events like the soon-to-be-launched 2017 Halloween Event, it will arrive with the following perks, Buddy Pokémon’s extra candy yield and Doubled Candy yield from transferring, catching as well as hatching Pokémon, BGR reported.
Aside from that, the in-game shop’s special boxes will feature Raid Passes and Super Incubators for upcoming adventures.
New monster will be available in large amounts
“Pokémon GO” players have yet to find out how hard it is to find these new Gen 3 Pokemon. Nonetheless, “Pokémon GO” enthusiasts are expecting that plenty of monsters will be available during the event, considering ghost-type creatures are already being preferred.
With Data mines indicating that the 2017 “Pokémon GO” Halloween event is just the start of the full rollout of Gen 3Pokemons, it is safe to assume that new creatures will be available immediately in large amounts once the occasion ended. The Halloween event appears to be shaping up to be a bigger deal than it was last year.
Best AR photos can still rack up prizes
Nonetheless, several other events are still live right now. Gamers can still share the best AR photos to win some awards until October 25. Until October 31, Suicune, Raikou as well as Legendary dogs Entei are still available in new regions.
