The latest updates for "Overwatch" reveal new patch note changes for playable characters Lucio, Mercy, and Zenyatta. Blizzard Entertainment will address some of the game's general fix and bugs in the "Halloween Terror" event, and the return of Team Deathmatch and No Limits in the Arcade Mode.
Game director Jeff Kaplan also teased new 1-on-1 game modes for "Overwatch" as players have been relentlessly asking the developers for new ideas for game's future. And Junkrat has been added to the roster of "Heroes of the Storm."
Character changes revealed
According to Blizzard, Mercy's "Guardian Angel" and "Valkyrie" ability cooldowns no longer resets after players activate "Resurrect." Players can also get a resurrection charge when they use Valkyrie during matches.
Lucio's wall ride has been increased to 65 percent and the game developers added new voice lines for Zenyatta's Cultist outfit.
PC players can now set their social status in "Overwatch's" social menu and they change it to Online, Away, Busy, and Offline. There are also new in-game bug fixes in the Halloween Terror event such as Mercy's momentum slowing down after canceling Guardian Angel, and incorrectly displaying Sombra's Pumpkinette victory pose.
New game modes coming soon
It seems that Blizzard Entertainment will add new game modes for "Overwatch" soon as Jeff Kaplan announced on the game's official forum website that they are working on new ideas and concepts for 1-on-1 matches. The game director also teased the return of Team Deathmatch and changes for No Limits in the Arcade.
"It will come back," Kaplan wrote. "We're working on some changes to allow for modes like No Limits and 1-v-1 modes to come back more often as well."
There are two 1-on-1 game modes in "Overwatch", Limited Duel and Mystery Duel. Limited Duel gives both players a group of three randomly chosen heroes to use, excluding Lucio, Mercy, and Bastion.
Mystery Duel randomly assigns both players a character, excluding Lucio and Mercy.
Junkrat in 'Heroes of the Storm'
Blizzard announced that Junkrat will join the roster of "Heroes of the Storm" and his gameplay will be similar to the multiplayer online shooter. Junkrat uses bombs and explosive traps to destroy his enemies and cause mayhem into the battlefield.
His "Total Mayhem" ability allows him to drop bombs when he dies, damaging nearby enemies.
Junkrat's "Frag Launcher" sends out grenades and can bounce off in any direction until they hit a target. His "Concussion Mines" and "Steel Trap" abilities can be placed anywhere on the map and can deal serious damage when an opponent is caught.
