Game publisher Koei Tecmo surprised the gaming community with a special announcement in regards to their popular video game, “Nioh.” It will have a PC version soon, which will make it a non-PlayStation 4 exclusive.
The video game will be a Complete Edition on PC through the Steam platform. It will be launched next month, and it will have all of the downloadable contents of the game. They also revealed its minimum and recommended requirements in order for it to run on the PC platform.
Complete Edition coming to PC
Game developer Team NINJA also commented on the upcoming port of their critically acclaimed Souls-like action RPG.
Game director Fumihiko Yasuda said that they were aware that a lot of PC gamers were asking for a PC version of their video game. They were happy to announce that it will finally be available on PC through Steam, and they hope they will enjoy defeating Yokais and the dramatic story.
New features and bonuses
“NiOh: Complete Edition” PC version will have two new visual modes for PC players to enjoy. The first mode will be the Action Mode, which will enable the steady 60 FPS gameplay speeds. The other mode is the Movie Mode, which will enable gameplay resolution up to 4K. The PC version will also have a bonus item exclusive to the platform. In order to celebrate the release of the game on this new platform, players will get the Dharmachakra Kabuto helmet for free.
In the description, the helmet name is translated as “The Wheel of Dharma kabuto.” It is a form of a kawari-kabuto, a type of helmet with designs that stand out. The design of the symbol on top of the helmet is a symbol commonly seen on Buddhist temples, which symbolizes the eight-fold path to nirvana.
While the funny description of the weird-looking helmet describes it as such, PC gamers are more familiar with its design.
It looks like the red valve symbol of the game company Valve that owns the Steam gaming platform. This is most likely homage to it in order to celebrate its release on PC.
