Niantic's "Pokemon GO" is one of the most popular mobile games to date and apparently one of the most challenging games online. Now, the developer is testing the limits of its fans by announcing its latest project, a Photo Contest that involves Pokemon characters in some of the most scenic views in different regions. Players have less than two weeks to join the contest and receive some interesting prizes from Niantic.

In order to join the contest, players must be over 18-years-old or in some regions 21-years-old and above. The contest is also available to residents where the application was officially released.

In the official page of the "Pokemon GO," it stated: "Residents of countries where the Pokemon GO has not been official as of October 11. 2017, are excluded from participating."

Niantic sponsors the photo contest and it starts at 12:00:00 A.M. Pacific Time (PT) Zone in the United States on October 11, 2017, and ends at 11:59:59 P.M. PT on October 25, 2017.

Mechanics of the 'Pokemon GO' photo contest

Using the augmented reality (AR) camera of the application, capture a scenic view that includes the captured Pokemon. Make sure that the process must come from the "Pokemon GO" application and have some edited visuals to be eligible for the contest. Make sure that the photos don't include individuals, obscene images, and photos that include logos, trademarks, and slogans that are owned by a third party business.

Once you have taken a qualifying photo, login to your individual Instagram account and upload the photo as a post and include the hashtag #POKEMONGOCONTEST.

Maximum number of entries required

Players are encouraged to post a maximum of three images and contestants are only allowed to use one Instagram account to join the contest.

Judging of the photos will be based on originality of photo, creativity, and the visual fun of the photo. Potential winners, according to the "Pokemon GO" page, will be notified via Instagram. A contestant must respond within 48-hours in order to proceed. In the event that a player fails to respond, there's a risk of disqualification.

At least 10 Grand Prizes are available but each prize also contains one (1) Pokemon GO Plus, one (1) poster signed by the Niantic team, and one (1) pair of Bluetooth earbuds. Make sure that all entries are your original work and have not been previously published to other business entities. Entries are already open.
