Pokémon GO fans are eagerly waiting for the launch of Generation 3 Pokémon in the wildly popular augmented reality game. While nothing much has been revealed about the gen 3 creatures, the Pokémon Company has confirmed in a post that the special Halloween season will add a plenty of good stuff to the game. Interestingly, the post mentioned that Pokédex will be filled with new Pokémon sometime later in this month.

"Plenty of good stuff is coming to the game later this October," the company’s post said on the official website.

"We can't wait to get out and about to see what sort of excitement we can scare up while catching new Pokémon to fill out our Pokédex."

Gen 3 Pokémon might be introduced

According to The Mirror, there are chances that the game developer might debut gen 3 “Pokémon Go” creatures, about eight months after the launch of Gen 2, and a new Legendary Raid during the Halloween 2017 event. Notably, Gen 2 was launched about eight months after the launch of Gen 1.

It is also possible that the “new Pokémon” mentioned in the post could be the missing Gen 2 Pokémon like Smeargle or Delibird. The game developer, Niantic Labs, might even let gamers catch the powerful Mewtwo during the Halloween event.

As far as “Pokémon Go” Halloween 2017 event dates are concerned, it is expected that the event might take place in the last week of October.

The “Pokémon Go” 2016 Halloween event began from October 26 and ran through November 1. This year it is likely that the event could get extended a little more to allow players to capture more Pokemon.

As nothing is confirmed yet, we will have to wait to find out more details about the much awaited Halloween event. “Pokémon GO” is currently running a photo contest that requires participants to click and submit between one and three photos using the game’s augmented reality filter.

The winners of the contest will receive a “Pokémon GO” Plus device and wireless Bluetooth earbuds.

Easy tutorial videos for newcomers

For gamers who are still new to the augmented reality game, Niantic has rolled out a couple of tutorial videos that demonstrate how to capture Pokémon, how to handle Gyms, how to tackle Raids and power up Pokémon and much more.

The five videos have been uploaded on the game's official YouTube channel under the series, called "Pokémon Go Tips.”

The two minute long videos explain the tactics in simple ways that are easy to understand for young players and newcomers to “Pokémon Go.” At the moment, it remains unclear whether more tutorial videos will be added to the series in the future. You can check out the five tutorial videos below.
