It looks like there is more reason for “Cyberpunk 2077” to have a delayed release. CD Projekt RED, the developer of the much-awaited game, recently made changes to their leadership team.

The lead level designer of CD Projekt RED, Mateusz Piaskiewicz, left the studio. He will be working under Flying Wild Hog, the studio which is developing another much-awaited game, “Shadow Warrior 2.”

Not a surprising move

Before he joined CD Projekt RED and planned for the development of "Cyberpunk 2077," Piaskiewicz worked under Treyarch and created "Black Ops 3." It is not surprising for everyone to see him leave since he is new to the studio.

However, he is not the only one who left the production team of "Cyberpunk 2077." CD Projekt RED’s senior gameplay producer, Derek Patterson, also left the team. He is now working with another video game developer, Techland.

Their move will surely affect the development of “Cyberpunk 2077.” Will the gaming studio be able to push through with the game even if two members of their leadership team already left?

Possible gameplay

Cyberpunk 2077” is a role-playing game that can be played from either a first-person or a third-person perspective. Since the game features characters who are non-English speakers, players who do not speak the language will need to buy translator implants. The accuracy of the translations depends on the advancement of these implants.

A “braindance” is also necessary to experience the emotions, muscle movements, and brain processes of the characters.

The game developers also revealed that the game would take place in a city named Night City in the year 2077 where robots are a normal thing to see. There were no other details of the game released, including the story of the game itself.

There were also speculations that the game will feature flying cars after the studio posted a job opening on their website stating that they are in need of a vehicle gameplay programmer. Since the game will be set in the year 2077, the possibility of driving flying vehicles is high.

Possible release date

News about “Cyberpunk” has been circulating since 2012.

Although there are no release dates given yet, there were rumors that “Cyberpunk 2077” will be released between the years 2017 and 2021 together with another unnamed game.

The gaming company also guaranteed that the game will be a huge project for the studio and will be larger than “The Witcher 3.” In 2015, visual effects artist Jose Teixeira said during an interview and assured gamers that the game will be the biggest one that the studio has ever made.
