The upcoming “Call of Duty: WWII” Season Pass will include a bonus multiplayer map. The developer Sledgehammer Games and publisher Activision recently announced that the war-torn French village Carentan will be making a comeback. Carentan is probably one of the best known multiplayer maps of the original “Call of Duty” games. It also appeared on “Call of Duty: United Offensive,” and “Call of Duty 2.” It should be familiar to players who have played the previous games. The bonus map has not been available for the last ten years, but it will surely experience some heated battles when “Call Of Duty: WWII” launches on November 3.
Advantages of Season Pass holders
According to Activision’s official blog post, the upcoming Carentan map is an improved version, and it will only be accessible to Season Pass holders. Season Pass holders can also access four “Call of Duty: WWII” DLC packs that will be released throughout 2018. The downloadable content will include new iconic multiplayer maps, new chapters of Nazi Zombies, and challenging war missions.
Rewards for players who pre-ordered the game
“Call of Duty: WWII” will be available on gaming platforms like Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Windows PC. The game is still available for pre-order. Players who pre-ordered the game will receive bonus rewards such as five outfits for multiplayer characters, “Call of Duty” points worth 1,1000 (Usable for Supply Drops), access to the Division’s Pack, and a Multiplayer Upgrade which will permanently unlock one weapon.
Pre-ordering the game is a low commitment. Players will not be charged for anything until the game ships, and players can choose to it cancel anytime.
Beta version flooded by cheaters
“Call of Duty: WWII” seems like an amazing game. Its beta version also did well. In fact, the beta version had 65,000 concurrent players worldwide.
But after three days the beta version was launched, Sledgehammer Games was flooded by complaints regarding other players using cheats on the game. The commonly used cheat or hack used was an “aim-bot.” An aim-bot can accurately detect the exact location of an opponent. Aim-bot users can easily kill an enemy. All they have to do is pull the trigger.
Developer promised to improve its anti-cheat technology
Several fans are worried that cheats like aim-bot will exist on the full version of “Call of Duty: WWII.” But according to a report from GameSpot, the developer pledges to improve the anti-cheat/hack technology of the game. The developer also confirmed that beta version of the game did not feature the complete anti-cheat technology which is meant for the game’s full version
