Recently, gaming giant Bandai Namco Entertainment released a relatively new story trailer for its upcoming dark souls-like action RPG known as "Code Veins." That trailer teased out some of the elements of the upcoming game’s overall narrative, as well as some details about its gameplay. However, the trailer didn’t detail if the upcoming action RPG will bring multiplayer support.

But things are about to change. Bandai Namco is reportedly considering multiplayer support for the upcoming Dark Souls-like game. At this year’s Tokyo Game Show, Game Reactor got a great chance to see "Code Veins" in real action. More importantly, the gaming website got the opportunity to have a nice conversation with the people behind the vampire-themed action RPG, producer Keita Lizuka, and director Hiroshi Yoshimura.

Bandai Namco talks more about the upcoming action RPG

In a recent interview with the gaming-focused site Game Reactor, producer Lizuka and director Yoshimura talked more about the upcoming Souls-like title, discussing more about gameplay mechanics and the story of the game.

As mentioned earlier by Game Reactor, the two also talked about the challenge the game provides. But when asked about the potential of bringing a multiplayer support, the developers said that they’re now thinking about it. The two declined to comment about details of the multiplayer part.

Fortunately, the two provide some good hint about the developer’s plans for a multiplayer support system. They revealed that the studio is focusing on a “buddy system.” They said that it might work similarly to some co-op mode, where players will see a player-controlled AI companion.

About upcoming action RPG Code Veins
