Rockstar Games finally released the second trailer for “Red Dead Redemption 2” on September 28. Fans have been itching to get a glimpse of the upcoming game, considering that the release date was moved to Spring 2018. The latest trailer revealed a significant number of details about the upcoming western-themed prequel.

However, several eagle-eyed fans have noticed something familiar in one of the shots in the latest trailer. It turns out that the shot was similar to a scene in a recent but iconic cowboy movie.

Similar scene

It appears that the latest trailer for “Red Dead Redemption 2” has one of its shots borrowed from one classic cowboy movie, “The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford.” The movie was released in 2007 and stars Brad Pitt as Jesse James.

The scene that was also shown in the latest trailer is the part where James and his crew are preparing to rob a train. The gang hides in the trees with their faces covered with rags. James is seen standing on the blockade that forces the incoming train to a screeching stop.

Movie-quality title

In their previous releases, Rockstar Games produced several impressive screenshots, which used many elements to dramatically produce a movie-like quality. The recent discovery about the reference of the game to the classic cowboy movie in a way, suggests that fans can expect another title with movie-like quality.

One of the highly anticipated parts of the upcoming prequel is the train robbery. Many fans expect that this element of the title will make the game as exciting as the heists in “Grand Theft Auto V.” it will also be more interesting if Rockstar Games gets inspiration from any of the story cues from “The Assassination of Jesse James.”

The game could pick the story of Robert Ford, who used to be a big fan of Jesse James and eventually joined his gang.

Later, Ford’s feelings for his inspiration turned sour as suggested by the movie title. Could the storylines for the game closely mirror what took place in the film between members of the gang?

Release date

Many fans expect that the announcement that Rockstar Games has been hyping up could include the game’s release date.

However, it appears that “Red Dead Redemption 2” maintains its vague release window of Spring 2018. The highly anticipated second installment in this gaming series will be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. While waiting for that release date, fans can enjoy the "Red Dead Redemption 2" trailer.
