“Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon” will soon launch on the Nintendo 3DS but the details pertaining to its gameplay remained scarce since its announcement. But thanks to a new leak, exciting information emerged online prior to the broadcast of Nintendo Direct on Wednesday.
Interestingly, the latest issue Japanese magazine CoroCoro leaked the secret details regarding Solgaleo and Lunala’s new forms that can be seen on the new game's box art. Prior to the live stream, CoroCoro Magazine revealed the Pokemon’s new forms are simply fusions of Necrozma, Pokemon Solgaleo, and Lunala.
The fusions take place as Necrozma absorbs the two Pokemon and the names of the new forms in the English language are not revealed yet. However, the translation of their Japanese names sheds some light on these type of new creatures.
Necrozma fusion forms
First, the Necrozma Mane of Twilight is formed when Necrozma fuses with Solgaleo and second, Necrozma Wings of Dawn is formed as Necrozma absorbs Lunala. It is further noted that the two new forms will keep Solgaleo and Lunala’s respective unique moves such as Sun Sunsteel Strike and Moongeist Beam.
According to game pundits, this is not the first time that Game Freak featured a fusion between two Pokemon in a follow-up video game like “Pokemon Ultra and Ultra Moon.” Similarly, “Pokemon Black 2 and White 2” debuted fusion forms between Kyurem and Reshiram.
