Who does not love a good sale? Well, before we jump to conclusions, let us check what has been discounted this week on the PlayStation Store to see if there is anything worthwhile.

Most of these games received an even bigger PlayStation Plus discount, but we will focus only on the standard prices which do not require a subscription.

'Nier Automata' and 'Yakuza 0'

The two highlights of the PlayStation Picks Sale, both "Nier Automata" and "Yakuza 0" are temporarily priced at $41.99. Although this is not a huge discount, these action RPGs are possibly two of the best games released in the last few years and offer dozens upon dozens of hours of gameplay.

"Nier" boasts some fantastic hack-and-slash combat and a long post-apocalyptic storyline. It requires multiple playthroughs, although the story content changes quite a bit from one to the next. It is an easy recommendation for fans of Platinum Games, as it is their best titles since "Bayonetta 2."

"Yakuza 0" is the perfect entry point for the franchise, especially with the release of "Yakuza Kiwami." With the sixth entry in the franchise set to be distributed next year, there has never been a better time to dive into the series. In terms of gameplay, it is very narrative driven, with a lot of silly side quests. Honestly, "Yakuza 0" is one of the most fun games of the year and well worth a shot.

'Titanfall 2' and 'Watch Dogs 2'

The best deal included in the sale is for "Titanfall 2," which is priced at only $14.99. Although the multiplayer is still active and quite enjoyable, the single player mode is worth the price of admission alone. This is not like the first game, which forgot to include a story, as there is a very solid 6-hour campaign to play through.

"Watch Dogs 2" can be purchased for $31.19, which is still not a huge discount, considering it has almost been out for a year. A substantial improvement over the original, Ubisoft's open world action adventure game offers a lot of content and a fun sandbox to play around in.

'Tekken 7' and 'Street Fighter V'

Fans of fighting games have been thrown a bone by Sony, as "Tekken 7," "Street Fighter V," and "Dead or Alive 5" are all included in the PlayStation Picks Sale.

The latter two are priced at $23.99, with "Tekken 7" sitting at $47.99. Despite the much higher price, "Tekken" is the newest and arguably the best of the bunch.

Considering their age, both "Street Fighter" and "Dead or Alive" can be picked up for a better price at most outlets.
