With September coming to a close, it is time to see what notable games will be coming out in the first half of October. This month sees several big-name sequels coming out that will dominate the first half of the month, as well as a remastered version of a last generation RPG.
'Forza Motorsport 7'
“Forza Motorsport 7” is the latest game in the critically acclaimed racing series developed by Turn 10 Studios and published by Microsoft Studios.
The tenth installment in the series will feature more than 700 cars and over 200 different configurations across 32 different locations to race on.
It will also feature a new campaign mode called 'The Forza Driver's Cup,' along with dynamic race weather, true 4K performance, and tons of driver and car customization. The game releases on October 3 for Xbox One and Microsoft Windows, with those who preorder receiving early access to the game.
'Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen'
“Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen” originally came out back in April 2013 as an expanded and enhanced version of the base game, which was published in May 2012.
Now, to celebrate the fifth year anniversary of the game, developer and publisher Capcom is re-releasing an improved version of Dark Arisen. It is coming out for the Xbox One and PS4 on October 3.
'Middle-earth: Shadow of War'
“Middle-earth: Shadow of War” is an action-adventure game that is the sequel to 2014's “Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor.” The game is being developed by Monolith Productions and is published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. Players will once again play as the ranger Talion and the spirit of elf lord Celerimbor.
The previous game's Nemesis System returns with improvements, while the open world will be much bigger than the first game with an army to command and fortress to take over.
There will also be a Social Conquest multiplayer mode in which players invade and defend each other's fortresses. The game comes out on October 10th for Xbox One, PS4 and Microsoft Windows.
'The Evil Within 2'
“The Evil Within 2” is a third-person survival horror game that is the sequel to 2014's “The Evil Within.” The game is being developed by Tango Gameworks and published by Bethesda Softworks. Players will once again step into the shoes of detective Sebastian Castellanos having to deal with the fallout from the first game's events while also on a quest to rescue his daughter. The game comes out on October 13th for Xbox One, PS4 and Microsoft Windows.
