The first half of September has just wrapped up, with big releases like “Destiny 2 having already come out. However, the second half of the month will also see some notable releases, with two highly anticipated sports games coming out in “NBA 2K18” and “FIFA 18.”

'NBA 2K18'

NBA 2K18” is the latest basketball simulation game in the long-running series, which has been around since 1999. The game is being developed by Visual Concepts and is being published by 2K Sports. The ever-popular MyCareer mode is back in the game, which has a new feature to the series called Neighbourhoods tied into it along with the MyPark and ProAm game modes.

MyGm is also back with a bigger focus on adding a story mode to called The Next Chapter to it. A significant gameplay change for the series is that animations no longer drive movement. The game has been available for those who preordered it since September 15, but it releases worldwide on September 19 for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PS3, Nintendo Switch and Microsoft Windows.

'Project Cars 2'

Project Cars 2” is a motorsport racing simulator game that is being developed by Slightly Mad Studios and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. It is the sequel to 2015s “Project Cars.” The game will feature 180 cars from almost 40 manufactures that reflect the nine disciplines of motorsport. It also has 46 different tracks that contain 121 layouts.

There is also a new physics engine, LiveTrack 3.0, in the game along with a new time and weather system. The online mode has also been revamped with a focus on E-Sports, as there is an online ranking system and online championships. The game comes out on September 22 for Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, and PS4.

'Cuphead'

Cuphead” is an indie run and gun video game that is being developed and published by StudioMDHR.

The game is most notable for is unique 1930s cartoon-like art style, and it has been in development since 2010. Its story is a simple premise, as Cuphead lose a deal with the devil and must repay his debt.

“Cuphead” is based around continuous boss fights, with branching level sequence and also has a co-op mode. The game comes out on September 29 as a Xbox One exclusive and will also be on Microsoft Windows as it supports Xbox Play Anywhere.

'FIFA 18'

FIFA 18” is a soccer simulation video game that is the latest game in the long-running series, which started all the way back in 1993. The game is being developed by EA Canada and EA Bucharest and is published by EA Sports. This years game will see a continuation of 'The Journey' story mode from “FIFA 17”, which is being called “The Journey: Hunter Returns.”

Besides some new stadiums, new cards in the games Ultimate Team Mode and new teams, like Iceland's national football team. The game comes out on September 29 for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3, Nintendo Switch and Microsoft Windows.
