The prestigious New York Comic-Con 2017 will kick off next week, and Square Enix is one of the first companies to announce its attendance at the four-day event. The studio provided the list of its official game lineup, but sadly enough, it does not include the highly anticipated “Kingdom Hearts 3.”
On Friday, Square Enix confirmed the list of video games that will be available in its booth. The complete rundown of its official NYCC 2017 lineup is given below.
- Secret of Mana
- Dissidia Final Fantasy NT
- FFXV Pocket Edition
- FFXV Multiplayer Expansion: Comrades
- FFXV Windows Edition
- Gravel
- Life is Strange: Before the Storm
- Lost Sphere
- Project Hikari
- Spelunker Party!
KH3 is missing from list
Notably, “Kingdom Hearts 3” is missing from the list of video games bound for NYCC 2017 presentation.
Also, most of these titles already showed up at Tokyo Game Show (TGS) 2017. The game developer teased a slew of entries from the “Final Fantasy” franchise at Asia’s gaming convention. However, “Final Fantasy 7” Remake was a no-show last week.
Despite that KH3 was teased twice so far this year, not much details about the JRPG have been revealed yet. Fans still expect to know more information other than seeing the new “Toy Story” world, with its characters joining forces with Sora.
NYC 2017 details
The NYCC 2017 is scheduled to start on Thursday, October 5 and end on Sunday, October 8. It will be held at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York. Attendees will be treated to a chance to win exclusive prizes and witness special activities throughout the Comic-Con.
Perhaps players might get another look at the next "Kingdom Hearts" title before this year ends. It could be at the Game Awards or at Sony-centric PlayStation Experience 2017 in December. Fans also expect the remake to also get a big reveal this year, two long years after its announcement trailer at PSX in 2015.
FFXV new update
In related news, game director Hajime Tabata previously said that he and the team will add more story content for “Final Fantasy XV.” Now, it appears that they are keeping their promise sooner than fans thought.
A new update is now available on PS4 and Xbox One, which adds new cutscenes to Chapter 12. The developer announced this great news along with a set of gorgeous screenshots on Twitter.
