Another exciting project being developed for the popular game “Ark: Survival Evolved” was recently announced. The action-adventure survival game will have a live action web series. Interestingly, the series is developed by the same people who are responsible for “Game of Thrones” visual effects.
New cinematic episode
On the official YouTube channel of “Ark: Survival Evolved,” Studio Wildcard released the game’s first cinematic episode. The debut trailer is a brief 16-second video showing a player washed up on the beach. Tousled, the player meets a lady riding on a dinosaur armed with a weapon.
As the player tries to engage in a conversation with the lady, it comes close to him and lets the Dino attack him.
The latest cinematic trailer reflects the authentic player’s experience when playing the game for the first time. While it is a general assumption that the start would be easy, the player has to survive the Dinosaur-infested place with nothing on hand but only survival.
Studio Wildcard assures fans that there will be more cinematic episodes in the future. The live action videos in the game are created by the developer’s partners at Snail Games in partnership with PIXOMONDO. It is an international effects team responsible for the VFX of the second season of the popular TV series, “Game of Thrones.” Among this includes the dragons of Daenerys Targaryen.
So, fans can expect more of stunning visual effects in the game’s clips in the game’s live-action series.
Aberration
In addition to the new cinematic trailer, Studio Wildcard announced at the PAX West the new expansion coming to the action-adventure survival title. Aberration, the game’s upcoming expansion, will be released in the game in October 2017.
It will be available for $19.99 but will be free to those who purchased the game’s Explorer Edition.
The new expansion will introduce a new map and bring the players to a place where things are beginning to break apart. It will introduce new mutated creatures that players need to tame. This includes the bioluminescent Lantern Pug and the chameleon-like Rock Drake.
Players will also meet a Cave Crustacean and a Nameless Queen, which uses chest-burster to impregnate enemies.
Aside from this, there will be more than 50 new items that players will craft in the upcoming expansion. Among these are railguns, hazmat suits, zip lines, explosive rounds, explosive rounds, wingsuits, glow sticks, batteries to name a few.
It appears that Studio Wildcard has a lot of surprises for the players of “Ark: Survival Evolved.” You may check out the latest cinematic trailer for the game below.
