Studio Wildcard has another surprise for fans of the action-adventure survival title. The developer recently announced a brand New Expansion for its popular game “Ark: Survival Evolved.” Dubbed as Aberration, the latest game expansion will feature a slew of new things in the game that players will surely enjoy. These include brand new creatures, features, and challenges.
Latest expansion
The exact details of the latest “Ark: Survival Evolved” expansion are not yet revealed. However, Studio Wildcard already released several details that will give players an idea of what Aberration will be all about.
The new expansion will send the adventure-seekers to a new place where things are breaking apart. Players will venture into a map where maintenance systems are faulty, and the atmosphere has a radioactive feel.
Among this includes mutated creatures to be tamed in the game such as the bioluminescent Lantern Pug. There is also chameleon-like Rock Drake than can climb walls and fly in the air. To top it all, Studi Wildcard will include a Cave Crustacean, and the Nameless Queen, which can impregnate enemies with a reproductive chest-burster.
Aside from those, there are more than 50 new craftable items that will be featured in the game’s latest expansion. These items are essential to players in order to survive the new map in the game.
This includes zip lines, wingsuits, hazmat suits, railguns, explosive rounds, glow sticks, batteries, and charge lanterns to name a few. Moreover, to make the expansion more interesting, the developer also added a plethora of brand new environmental challenges. These are radiation, gas leaks, and earthquakes among others. Aberration is the second game expansion following the Scorched Earth pack released in 2016.
Release details
The announcement about the new expansion was made at PAX West. Studio Wildcard also revealed that Aberration would be released in October 2017. The latest game expansion will be available at $19.99. It will be a part of the action-adventure title’s Season Pass. For those who have purchased the game’s Explorer Edition, Aberration will be available for free.
In addition, they will get extra perks like Aberration-themed cosmetic items like Aberration helmet and sword.
